Some people are born with thick, fuller lashes and some of us (like me) have to put some work in to them. I use an eyelash curler and sometimes waterproof mascara which are two things that can cause damage. As well as ageing and lash extensions which a lot of people are treating themselves to. Here are a couple of helpful tips to look after eyelashes naturally...
Removing Your Makeup
The skin is very delicate around the eye so you want to make sure when you're removing makeup and cleaning your face you're not scrubbing as hard as you can. Being gentle and patting the area rather than rubbing will fix this. Don't be leaving your makeup on overnight either, I'm sure dry mascara for 24 hours is not doing your lashes any good.
Eyelash Serum
I've recently been trying out the Lash Wizard Eyelash Serum from Flawless Cosmetics. The product is created by Loreta Jasilionyte who has been a lash technician for years so knows all the ins and outs. The key ingredient is Biotinoyl Tripeptide, which makes our lashes longer and fuller as it strengthens the fibres and follicles.
Healthy Eating
Taking vitamins and eating the correct foods can help your lashes as well as your body. Foods rich in Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Vitamin H, Calcium and Niacin are the ones you should look out for.
Choose Your Products Wisely
I would recommend using organic makeup products and staying away from waterproof mascara. I've stopped using waterproof products as they easily rip out my lashes, we don't want that! Lastly, check your products and make sure they are in date!
