Some people might find it insane that it is only October and my countdown to Christmas has started. After attending the Selfridges Christmas Preview Press Event - I am feeling so festive and beyond excited for the next few months in the run up to December. The theme at the store this year is: Journey To The Stars! They've brought back some favourites and some new gifts this year: personalisation is popular and I love it. There is also the Elfridges Personal Shopper, so whilst you sit in San Carlos having a meal, two little helpers will run around the store finding presents for you - amazing! Just a warning, this post is super christmas-sy and hopefully will give you some gift ideas!
As I arrived at Selfridges I was handed a yummy warm cup of hot chocolate, creme and mini marshmallows, it was very tasty and that was where I began to feel festive! I saw the Journey To The Stars theme in the shop window and decorations above me, it looks stunning and a choir sang some Christmas carols! I wandered around the store to look at the different gift ideas and treats.
The Nutella bar is back in the Foodhall and you get your name on the label by using the touch screen iPads, I was lucky enough to take a jar home for myself! If you know a foodie, the Hey Little Cupcake DIY Cookie Jar would be appropiate! I think these are the perfect stocking fillers a long with some Jo Malone, Kiehls or Volumspa (just to name a few) beauty treats inside the personlised Harrow & Green sack pictured above with my name on! You can also see the transparent bauble with 'Laurie' signed across in gold, you can now get customised baubles which make the perfect gift! There's something about giving a personal touch to a present that makes it more special and individual. Another favourite of mine was the luxury Christmas Hampers, the selection of goodies inside the hamper provides a variety of options to the receiver and makes sure there is something for everybody.
You can also find lots of fashionable exclusives to the store, including a Stella McCartney Stella Star Mini Falabella bag which links to the overall theme! Miss Guided is also stocked in Selfridges and I found some glamorous, glitzy dresses that I thought were affordable! Another personal faovurite of mine was the Instant Lab Universal Gold photo printer by Impossible - this tech gadget prints your photos on to Polaroids just by placing your phone on top - as you can see I met Santa and his elf and got my own prints! It's perfect!
