Today I had some family time and we drove off to Castleton. Going in to the countryside is always beautiful when you live in the city. I love the cosy, little cottages with the adorable names like 'Lilac Cottage'. There was vintage tearooms at every corner of the cobbled road, souvenir shops where I bought a postcard for my scrapbook and the whiff of fish and chips - it felt very English. We also took a tour to the Castle, the walk up to it took my breath away - literally! We watched a medieval reenactment and took in the amazing view. As well as all the old fashioned scenery and shops, we found an American themed diner. I got a Mocha Chocca Ice Cream - yum! It was a really nice day out. But, I don't think I could ever live in the countryside, there are far too many flies and I love the city vibe!
